§ Mr. WaldegraveMy right hon. Friend received several representations from the county council, which he considered before announcing the rate support grant settlement for 1985–86 on 11 December. The settlement includes a particular change, advocated by the council, in the method of allowing for the Metropolitan police precept in parts of the Metropolitan police district outside Greater London.
