§ Sir George YoungLocal authorities for the districts designated under the Inner Urban Areas Act 1978 and the urban development corporations supply returns on a calendar year basis for the United Kingdom's annual report to the European Commission on the operation of that Act. These returns indicate that expenditure under sections 5 and 6 of the Act in England Merseyside, and Wirral during 1983 was as follows:
