§ Mr. Gordon Brownasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how much he has paid out in selective financial assistance to companies in the Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy travel-to-work areas from 1979 onwards; and how many companies have received help.
§ Mr. Allan Stewart[pursuant to his reply, 17 December 1984, c. 57]: In the period from January 1979 to October 1984 inclusive payments of selective financial assistance totalling £7.43 million were made to 76 companies in the Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy travel-towork areas.
