§ Mr. Iain Millsasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will publish figures for each year since 1979 relating to (i) the number of Ministry of Transport tests carried out on cars, (ii) the number of cars which failed the Ministry of Transport test, (iii) the number of cars which failed the Ministry of Transport test partly or wholly as a result of having illegal tyres and (iv) the number of persons prosecuted for being in possession of a car with illegal tyres.
