§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many members of the security forces in the current year, and for each of the last five years, have been (a) charged with criminal offences or (b) disciplined as a result of incidents in Northern Ireland involving injuries to persons caused by the use of plastic bullets.
§ Mr. Hurd[pursuant to his reply, 10 December 1984, c. 349]: Between 1 January 1979 and 30 November 1984 no member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary was charged with a criminal offence or disciplined as a result of an incident involving injuries caused by a plastic baton round.
I understand that the Army does not maintain information in the form requested and that it could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
