§ Mr. McNamaraasked the Secretary of State for Defence (1) whether Mr. Danny Doherty and Mr. William Fleming had (a) been challenged to surrender or (b) had drawn their firearms at the time of their killing by the British security forces;
(2) what steps were taken by the British security forces to stop and arrest Mr. Danny Doherty and Mr. William Fleming immediately before their killing by the security forces.
§ Mr. LeeIt would not be appropriate for me to comment on the details of this incident which is the subject of an RUC investigation.
