asked the Secretary of State for Energy how many times since March 1984 he and other Energy Ministers have visited coalfields in the United Kingdom.

In October I visited two National Coal Board area headquarters and the National Coal Board's mining and research establishment at Bretby. There have been no other visits to coalfields by Energy Ministers since March.
