§ 60. Mr. Peter Bruinvelsasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he is satisfied with the Professional and Executive Recruitment Service; and whether he has any plans to privatise it.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonProfessional and Executive Recruitment was put on to a full cost recovery basis from 1 April 1983. The service met its self-financing objective for the 1983–84 financial year and current indications are that this year's objective will also be met. I am pleased to say that the service therefore now operates at no cost to the taxpayer. There are no plans for the moment to change the basis of operation of the service, but its future is being kept' under review.
