§ Lord Melchett
asked Her Majesty's Government:
How frequently the Northern Ireland Drainage Council meets; whether the council meets in public; and whether the minutes of the council are open to public inspection.

§ Lord Lyell
The number of meetings in any year depends upon the amount of business to be conducted but is normally three or four. The council does not meet in public. The minutes of council meetings are not open to public inspection.

§ Lord Melchett
asked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether they will list the present membership of the Northern Ireland Drainage Council, together with the interests each member has been appointed to represent.

§ Lord Lyell
Ten members have been appointed to represent district councils. They are:
