§ Mr. Ian StewartIt is proposed that a consultative document on the taxation of non-residents operating in the United Kingdom will be issued next year. However, in advance of consultation on the wider issues, I have authorised the Inland Revenue to publish today a consultative paper on the tax treatment of non-resident investors who use the services of United Kingdom investment managers. Comments are invited by 1 February 1985.
I have arranged to have copies of the document placed in the Library of the House.
