HC Deb 18 December 1984 vol 70 c145W
Mr. Hill

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what investigations the Committee on Safety of Medicines has made into the possible teratogenic effects of the drug Debendox; and what its findings were.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

The committee considered the safety of Debendox on eight occassions, the last being in March 1983. On each occasion the committee's advice was that there was no acceptable scientific evidence that Debendox caused harm to the foetus.
