Mr. Alex Carlile

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the actual remand population of each remand centre for young prisoners aged (a) 15 to 16 years and (b) 17 to 21 years, on the last day of November 1983, May 1984, August 1984, September 1984 and October 1984.
