HC Deb 14 December 1984 vol 69 c623W
Mr. Ron Davies

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food why it is the policy of the Forestry Commission not to inform county councils of sales of woodlands in their own counties.

Mrs. Fenner

This information is already available to county councils and other bodies through the regular notices of possible woodland sales that the Forestry Commission places in theEstates Gazette. These notices, which are given in advance of general advertising, cover woodlands of five hectares and over and those smaller woodlands in respect of which there is a known conservation or amenity interest.
