§ Mr. Ron Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry precisely what share of the European regional development fund the Government anticipate the United Kingdom will receive from January 1985 in order to make financial provisions for public expenditure; and if any receipts over and above this level will be available for additional spending by local authorities.
§ Mr. TrippierAnticipated United Kingdom receipts from the ERDF from 1985 will be shown in the public expenditure White Paper to be published early in the new year.
These receipts are related to commitments entered into by the Commission previously and can thus be estimated with reasonable accuracy. The question of unexpected receipts does not therefore arise.
