§ Mr. Ashdownasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement on his meeting with the Computer Services Association on 14 December to discuss the impact of the new COCOM regulation on the export of software.
§ Mr. ChannonOfficials of my Department met representatives of the Computer Services Association on 14 November and 14 December to discuss the details of the agreement reached in COCOM on future controls on exports of computer software of strategic importance and the arrangements for implementation. The views of industry representatives will be taken into account in drawing up the new licensing arrangements.
