§ Mr. DunnThe number of teachers employed in maintained nursery, primary and secondary schools in Leicestershire in September 1984 was 7,716, counting part-time teachers on the basis of their full-time equivalences. The September return does not include teachers in special education or qualified teachers providing education otherwise than at school. No information is available on the number of teachers in Leicestershire who are unemployed.
