§ Mr. Ron Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether the recent changes to the assisted areas map for the purpose of regional aid will affect the eligibility of areas presently the subject of preparatory studies prior to integrated operations where a recommendation for an integrated development operation is made.
§ Mr. TrippierThe areas under study remain wholly or partly eligible for United Kingdom regional assistance and European regional development fund assistance, but there are no detailed EEC procedures or eligibility criteria for integrated operations and it is not possible to assume that integrated operations will follow after any of the studies. The studies should be seen as part of a continuing exploration of the concept of integrated operations.
