HL Deb 13 December 1984 vol 458 cc420-1WA
The Earl of Cranbrook

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are yet in a position to respond to the 10th Report of the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution.

The Earl of Avon

We have published our response today. Copies have been placed in the Library of the House. The response is in two parts: Part I is a brief statement of the principles which govern our approach to environmental protection policy; Part II sets out in full our response to each of the Royal Commission's detailed recommendations, which covered a wide range of pollution control issues.

The Government are grateful to Professor Sir Richard Southwood and his colleagues for the hard work and careful analysis which they devoted to the production of the Tenth Report.
