§ The Prime MinisterOur aim in the current multilateral arms control negotiations is the achievement of balanced and verifiable agreements which will guarantee security at a reduced level of armaments. To that end, since June 1983 we have continued to play an active and positive part in all areas of multilateral disarmament negotiations:
