HC Deb 13 December 1984 vol 69 cc566-7W
Mr. Meadowcroft

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has asked the Post Office and British Telecom to notify him of the results of their investigations into allegations of telephone tapping and interference with the mail of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

Mr. Brittan

The complaints which have been made about the provision of postal and telephone services are matters for the Post Office and British Telecom, but I would expect them to draw my attention to any matters arising from their investigations that may be relevant to my Ministerial responsibilities.
