Mr. Donald Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what plans exist for military exercises at RAF Stornoway on completion of the current North Atlantic Treaty Organisation redevelopment work there.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the percentage of people in the following age groups in Scotland who were economically active in 1979 and at the latest date for men and women (a) 16 to 17, (b) 18 to 24, (c) 25 to 34, (d) 34 to 44, (e) 45 to 54, (f) 55 to 59 and (g) 60 to 64 years.

No firm plans have yet been made. Peacetime exercises at Stornoway will be limited to six weeks in any one year but no timetable has yet been decided.
