§ 26. Mr. Corbynasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on Her Majesty's Government's contribution to the Contadora process in Central America.
§ Mr. RentonAs my right hon. and learned Friend told the House on 9 November, we together with our European partners, are giving our wholehearted support to the Contadora process. The presence of my right hon. and learned Friend at the San José meeting in September underlined our determination to support that process.
§ 59. Dr. Marekasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with the Governments of Mexico, Panama, Columbia and Venezuela about the future of the Contadora talks.
§ Mr. RentonWe strongly support a peaceful solution to the problems of Central America in accordance with the Contadora process. My right hon. and learned Friend was able to make this clear to the Foreign Ministers of the Governments listed above at the San José meeting in September.
