HC Deb 11 December 1984 vol 69 c431W
Mr. Cohen

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what information he has as to whether, despite the fact that no North Atlanic Treaty Organisation field training exercise this autumn contained a nuclear phase, any weapons capable of being used in a nuclear role were moved in connection with, or as a consequence of, any of these exercises.

Mr. Stanley

In the course of NATO exercises, a range of weapons systems may be moved for training purposes, and some of these may be nuclear-capable. Security considerations however preclude my detailing the involvement of particular systems in particular exercises.
