HC Deb 11 December 1984 vol 69 c441W
Mr. Litherland

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the recent visit by the Minister for Housing and Construction to the Hulme area of Manchester; and what action he now proposes to take following this visit.

Mr. Gow

The future of the Hulme estate is initially a matter for Manchester city council. The city council has made proposals for the estate in its housing investment programme submission for 1985–86, and these will be considered carefully before the housing capital allocation is decided.
