§ Mr. RidleyThere is no agreement that would limit a United Kingdom derogation to 31 December 1986. This is a date by which the Council envisages that the conditions of such a derogation would be decided. We are not in any way committed.
§ Mr. Stephen Rossasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether it is his intention to sign a European Economic Community document during the week commencing Monday 10 December which will in effect commit the United Kingdom to accepting 40 tonnes gross weight lorries on the roads within the next few years.
