§ Dr. Marekasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will detail the categories of information to be found on certificates which exempt personal data under section 27 of the Data Protection Act.
§ Mr. WaddingtonThere is no prescribed form for certificates issued under section 27 of the Data Protection Act 1984. If, in any particular case, a senior Minister determines that data are required to be exempt, either from the provisions of the Act as a whole or from the non-disclosure provisions, he will certify that to be the case under the provisions of section 27(2) or 27(4) respectively.
