HL Deb 10 December 1984 vol 458 cc115-6WA
Lord Colwyn

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many officers of the Department of Transport are involved with the Cycling Policy Unit, and how much time those officers devote to cycling matters in London.

Lord Brabazon of Tara

About 30 per cent. of the time of my seven headquarters officers advising on cycling is spent on London matters alone. Other staff at headquarters, in regional offices and at the Transport and Road Research Laboratory also provide information and advice on various aspects of cycling matters, most of it relevant to London and other urban areas.
