HC Deb 10 December 1984 vol 69 c358W
Mr. Nicholas Brown

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what proportion of health and safety construction inspectors' resources and time have been devoted to administering and enforcing the Asbestos Licensing Regulations 1983; and how much of the work previously carried out by the construction inspectors has had to be postponed or abandoned following the additional work load of the licensing regulations 1983.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

The information is not available. Construction inspectors are continuing to give attention to other priorities including the basic inspection programme in high risk activities such as steel erection, demolition and roofwork and investigation of serious accidents and complaints.
