§ Mr. Arnoldasked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts what is the total of forward financial commitment made to date by the Arts Council in respect of the financial year 1985–86; and if he will indicate (a) how much is a firm contractual commitment and (b) how much is in any respect provisional.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe Arts Council has discussed possible fundings for 1985–86 with a large number of arts bodies, but has not committed itself to disburse money which has not yet been voted by Parliament.
