§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what proportion of the administrative expenses of his Department he estimates to be directly or indirectly attributable to duties which must be carried out by his Department as a result of membership of the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. Butcher[pursuant to his reply, 5 December 1984, c. 190]: The proportion of the running costs of the Department of Trade and Industry directly or indirectly attributable to duties which must be carried out as a result of membership of the European Economic Community is not known and cannot be estimated without disproportionate cost.
