§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasWhen my right hon. Friend saw the hon. Gentleman and the right hon. and learned Member for Aberavon (Mr. Morris) earlier this year, he acknowledged the need for improvement of the A465 at this point, but he explained that it was necessary to reduce the cost of the proposed scheme in order to improve its economic viability. My Department is continuing to seek ways of doing so and a decision will be taken as soon as possible.
