asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will now publish figures showing firm manpower targets within the National Health Service for March 1985 and the trend for 1985–86.

The manpower targets set for regional health authorities in England and the special health authorities for the London postgraduate teaching hospitals for 31 March 1985 are set out in the table. These authorities have been advised that, nationally, manpower in March 1986 can be expected to be contained within the 1985 target level.
