HC Deb 07 December 1984 vol 69 c295W
Mr. Winnick

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will state the locations in London and the west midlands where the intervention stores for surplus EEC agriculture produce are sited and the amount of food stored, broken down into each class of produce; and how long such products have been held in such stores.

Mr. Jopling

At 31 October the position was:

Location Commodity Quantity tonnes
London
Hornsey Beef 6
Hackney Beef 920
Butter 1,712
Stratford Beef 157
Southall Butter 1,122
Acton Butter 696
Tottenham Butter 672

Coventry Bread Wheat 1,191
Kingswinford Skimmed Milk Powder 2,040
Walsall Beef 158

Wolverhampton Beef 457

Because stocks are not constant, it is not possible to give meaningful figures for storage periods.
