§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take steps to prevent general practitioners making available blank signed prescription forms to be filled in by non-medical staff.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe practice is contrary to the terms of service for doctors, and any evidence of it should be referred to the medical services committee concerned for consideration of whether a breach of those terms of service has occurred. A finding of breach of this kind would be a serious matter and should represent a significant deterrent to any practitioner contemplating such action.
