§ Mr. YoungerUnder the Housing Support Grant (Scotland) Order 1984, grants totalling £52.5 million have been apportioned to appropriate local authorities in respect of expenditure in 1984–85. On the basis of local authority returns of housing stock, this is an average amount of £61 per council house. Housing support grant is paid in respect of property not tenants.
