§ Mrs. ChalkerThe Greater London transport survey of 1971 and 1981 were the responsibility of the GLC. On that pattern the next survey would not need to be carried out until 1991. It will be for the boroughs and the Secretary of State to decide, under powers being sought in the Local Government Bill, what survey arrangements will be appropriate in the London area.
