HC Deb 06 December 1984 vol 69 cc250-1W
Mrs. Renée Short

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what representations he has received from representatives of the Automobile Association, the National Chamber of Trade the Confederation of British Industry and the Movement for London in relation to future traffic circulation making use of the Dartford tunnel; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Chalker

Representatives of the Automobile Association, the Confederation of British Industry and Movement for London have expressed to me recently their concern about the ability of the Dartford tunnel to cope with expected M25 traffic flows. On this matter I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to the hon. Member for Epping Forest (Sir J. Biggs-Davison) on 3 December at column 34. No representations have been received from the National Chamber of Trade.
