§ The Prime MinisterThe arrangements for European Music Year are in the hands of the United Kingdom organising committee, chaired by His Royal Highness Duke of Kent. The date of 22 June is intended particularly as a day to celebrate amateur music-making, and musicians and schools are being encouraged to take part accordingly.
