asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the tendering for the contract for the proposed renal dialysis unit at the West Wales hospital, Carmarthen.

Proposals have been invited for submission to the Department by 10 December. Adjudication and final decision will be by the Welsh Office. We hope to announce the decision by the end of the year.
