HC Deb 04 December 1984 vol 69 cc152-3W
Mr. John David Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the number of warrants for extradition, in connection with terrorist offences, which have been issued to the authorities in the Republic of Ireland by police forces in Scotland for which the person named therein has not yet been extradited.

The Solicitor-General for Scotland

I have been asked to reply.

There are two cases — that of David Michael Dinsmore this year and the case of Bartholomew Burns in 1973—in which warrants have been issued by Scottish Courts in connection with offences connected with terrorism and passed to the authorities in the Republic of Ireland for extradition by police forces in Scotland for which the person named therein has not yet been extradited.
