HC Deb 04 December 1984 vol 69 c99W
Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what are the arrangements by which his Department negotiates with landowners for the use of their land for military exercises; and at what stage in this process local authorities are consulted.

Mr. Lee

It is the practice in Wales for the Property Services Agency to make arrangments with landowners for the use of their land for military training. There is no requirement to consult the local authorities unless the military use of land for training exceeds 28 days in any one year.
