§ Mr. Lathamasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he is not in a position to announce proposals for compensation or assistance with double glazing or other forms of sound insulation for persons affected by noise from RAF Cottesmore.
§ Mr. LeeAn announcement will be made shortly. Final details are being worked out, but I can confirm that grants will be available for secondary double glazing of a limited number of dwellings most affected by noise from RAF Cottesmore in accordance with my Department's normal policy.
