HC Deb 03 December 1984 vol 69 c62W
Mr. Bidwell

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is considering ordering a public inquiry into the London borough of Eating's decision to build four-bedroomed houses across the entrance to Jubilee park, Southall.

Mr. Macfarlane

No. Ealing borough council, as local planning authority, has now deemed itself planning permission for the proposed development. My right hon. Friend would not therefore be justified in intervening in what is essentially a matter for local decision.
