HC Deb 03 December 1984 vol 69 c32W
35. Mr. Fallon

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if, when he next meets the chairman of the British Railways Board, he will raise the matter of advertising on inter-city trains.

Mr. David Mitchell

I am always willing to discuss any matter the chairman wishes to raise at the regular meetings between us. But advertising is a matter for BR's commercial judgment. My hon. Friend may feel it helpful to draw his views on this matter to the attention of the chairman of BR, for his consideration.
