§ Mr. Altonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps Her Majesty's Government are taking to consult other Commonwealth Governments on longer-term measures to prevent famines elsewhere, in view of the famine in Ethiopia.
§ Mr. RaisonAs part of our normal activities we play a full part in consultative and coordination arrangements involving aid giving countries and agencies and the Governments of recipient countries. Longer-term development policies and investments in the agricultural and related sector occupy an important part in these discussions.
