HC Deb 01 August 1984 vol 65 c263W
Mr. McNamara

asked the Prime Minister whether, following the acquittal of Aircraftman Paul Davies, she will order an inquiry into the operation of the security services; and if she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

As is normal practice in such cases, the investigation was carried out not by the security service but by the provost and security service of the RAF. Since the judge declared the police evidence admissible, I see no purpose in such an inquiry.
