Sir Bernard Braine askedthe Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what answer was given by the Chilean authorities to his last representations about the disappearance of Mr. William Beausire and other persons of British descent; and what action was taken against those responsible for such disappearances.
§ Mr. WhitneyThe Chilean authorities claimed they have already carried out full investigations without result and that new evidence is needed for any further action. We shall continue to press for a satisfactory explanation of these cases.
