§ Mr. Ottawayasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what financial provisions he will be making available for the establishment and operation of the Falkland Islands development corporation.
§ Mr. RaisonWe expect to make available approximately £1.4 million to the Falkland Islands development corporation in the current financial year. Parliamentary approval for this new service will be sought in the next supplementary estimate for the overseas aid vote. Pending that approval, essential expenditure of up to £1 million will be met by repayable advances from the contingencies fund.
