§ Mr. FletcherThe outstanding objections to the new constitution proposed for the Birmingham assay office are currently under discussion between the office and the objector concerned. A statutory inquiry under the provisions of the Hallmarking Act 1973 has been deferred pending the outcome of these discussions which it is expected will come to a conclusion shortly.
