HL Deb 26 April 1984 vol 451 c250WA
Baroness Jeger

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether public service and forces pensioners are able to receive pension increases wherever they are domiciled; and what is the cost of these up-ratings.

The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (Lord Cockfield)

Armed forces and other public service pensioners have their occupational pensions increased under the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971 and Section 59 of the Social Security Pensions Act 1975 as amended in whatever country they reside. Information about the cost of up-rating the pensions of those residents abroad is not available.
